The rundown: A high-fantasy and low-stakes book filled with magical creatures, good vibes, and plenty of coffee. This light-hearted book is a perfect summer read for coffee and tea drinkers!
Viv is done with adventures; she’s tired of crushing skulls and wants to place her feet on something that wouldn’t attack her. She ventures to an unknown land to open a coffee shop in a town that’s never heard of coffee!
But with the help of new and old friends, the orc finds peace, one sip of coffee at a time.
The review: A 5-star book, hands down!
Between the love tension boiling hotter than the espresso machine, the magical yet unpredictable customers coming into the shop, and the buildup of a jealous frenemy, this book will put you in a chokehold!
Viv and her co-workers are adorable, and you’ll quickly fall in love with all of them (I’m a HUGE fan of Cal!). It truly is an inspiration to see someone turn a different leaf and go for an easier life. In today’s society, posts and inspirational videos promote the “hustle” lifestyle. After reading this book, I want to open my bookstore and settle in, watching my business thrive in a community that needs extra support and love.
The cozy fantasy book is an easy read, a book you can read in one weekend.
A perfect cozy and warm book to dig into with a cup of a latte with a piece of thimblet. But I also wouldn’t mind having Gallina be my protection as I sat at the coffee shop. Her sharp knives would scare the biggest bully away.
