An Evening with Local Author Jumata Emill

January has been a great start to 2026 at Red Stick Reads, and the bookish fun continues as we get ready for next week’s event with local author Jumata Emill! Jumata will be back in the bookshop on Tuesday, January 20th to celebrate the release of his newest book, I Don’t Wish You Well and we can’t wait!!

We first met Jumata several years ago and had a blast discussing his debut novel ,Wander in the Dark. Over the years, it has been so fun getting to follow Jumata’s journey as an author and we are beyond excited to get the opportunity to welcome him back to discuss his third and newest book. 

We invite you to join us in helping give Jumata a warm welcome back to the bookshop to celebrate the release of  I Don’t Wish You Well. There will be a Q&A discussion with Jumata followed up by the opportunity to meet and get your book signed by the author himself.  The fun is all happening next Tuesday, January 20th from 6:30-8:30 and we hope to see you there!
