On a Wing and a Prayer!

Sunday Feb 1 from 3:30-5pm we will be hosting local author and butterfly expert, Craig Marks, at the store.  His presentation will be about butterflies in general and the different defense mechanisms they employ to survive in a dangerous world! Craig's discussion is illustrated by numerous photographs of real butterflies. He will also address the region's NABA counts and will bring several of his mounted frames showing common LA butterflies. Craig's Louisiana Butterflies book is also  available for purchase!

Bailey Simon-Sherman will be there in support of Craig's presentation with her beautiful scientific illustrations of native LA butterflies, as fine art prints and stationery. 

10% of Bailey's proceeds will go to Louisiana Wild Society to help support the native wild plants for the Baton Rouge area to potentially help to drive higher butterfly populations.
