Mia, a little girl with a rare disease, struggles with the fact that she looks different from her peers and questions her doctor on why the disease has physically affected her in various ways. Mia is so determined to get answers she goes to extreme lengths such as leaving voicemails for her doctor, sending letters, e-mailing him, and even busting in during her doctor’s examination of his other patients. Mia is expecting a literal “textbook” answer but the doctor’s answer to her one question takes her by surprise.
